My stay at Mastiff Select Mandavya Dharamkot, Mcleodganj was from 26 May to 30 May 2025. I am posting this review with hesitation, but I feel it is important for other guests to be aware of my experience.During our stay, we had kept a real pearl necklace and a matching pearl bracelet on the table in our room. We clearly remember removing them the night before and leaving them there. The next day, the room was cleaned by housekeeping while we were away.When we returned to the room that evening, both items were missing. We immediately informed the hotel staff, but were told that their staff would not do such a thing and that perhaps the items were misplaced. We explained that we were certain the jewelry had been left in the room before housekeeping entered.As we were checking out the next morning, we repeatedly requested that the matter be investigated. We were told that they would look into it and contact us if the items were found. After reaching home, we unpacked all of our luggage and thoroughly checked every bag and belonging to ensure we had not packed the jewelry by mistake. Unfortunately, the items were nowhere to be found.When we contacted the hotel again, we received the same response that such incidents do not happen with their staff. While I understand that the hotel may have its own processes, the fact remains that our jewelry went missing during our stay and we have never recovered it.I am sharing this experience so that other guests can take extra precautions with their valuables. Losing sentimental and valuable personal belongings was very upsetting, and I hope the hotel takes such concerns more seriously in the future.
