After traveling nearly 13 hours to reach Hotel Mount View Annexy in Joshimath for our pilgrimage to Shri Badrinath Dham the following day, we were disappointed to find that the rooms provided were quite different from the ones shown in the online photos. This was especially frustrating after such a long journey, as we had booked based on the images and details available online. I strongly advise verifying the actual room and its condition before making any advance payments at this hotel. In our case, we left the half pre-payment with the hotel and moved to another place that offered better accommodation for a similar price. Claiming a 3-star rating carries the responsibility to meet the standards promised online. I hope the management updates their photos and online information to accurately reflect the current state of the rooms, helping future guests avoid similar disappointments. I also encourage the local hotel association and hospitality community in Joshimath to focus more on customer satisfaction and transparency. While earning revenue is important, building customer trust should be a priority in hospitality. This review reflects our personal experience and aims to assist future travelers in making informed choices.

We had booked this hotel in advance after paying 50% of the total cost. The pictures shown were very appealing. However, upon arrival, the rooms were dreadful and extremely unhygienic. It was late evening, and after a long, exhausting journey, we had to scramble to find another hotel. Moreover, we were told to forfeit the entire amount with the explanation that "this is how they conduct their business." I want to warn others to avoid prebooking this hotel just based on the online images to prevent a similar awful experience.

This hotel is poorly managed by rude and arrogant staff who pretend to be polite but are not. The rooms are unclean, hygiene is neglected, linens are dirty, and overall care is below standard. Check it yourself and you'll see it's very different from the photos they show online. We had to find another hotel by 7 pm because staying here was not an option. We also lost our entire payment. The pictures they post do not reflect reality. PLEASE AVOID STAYING HERE.
