Munjoh Ocean Resort - Havelock Island

We accidentally booked the wrong hotel in Port Blair instead of Havelock and suddenly had nowhere to go. What started as a stressful situation completely transformed the moment we reached Mujoh Ocean Resort.The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming from the start. A special shoutout to Jonas Andy, he was exceptionally sweet, kind, and accommodating. His hospitality genuinely made us feel at home.We stayed in the Luxury Villa, which was beautiful, spacious, and extremely comfortable. Having access to the private beach was the highlight, it was clean, peaceful, and very well maintained. We spent hours there just sitting, painting, and singing songs. It felt surreal.Now I have to talk about the food. The breakfast and high tea were outstanding. We literally ordered almost everything on the breakfast menu! From South Indian to North Indian to Continental, everything was delicious. As a South Indian, having fresh dosa and idli for breakfast in the Andamans made my heart so happy.If you’re someone who wants to truly relax, unwind, recharge, and come back feeling refreshed, this is absolutely the place to stay. Mujoh doesn’t just offer rooms; it offers an experience.Highly, highly recommended.

We stayed at Munjoh Ocean Resort, Havelock for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. The resort is beautiful, peaceful, and the private beach is a huge highlight.The service was truly amazing’warm, prompt, and always attentive. I arranged a candlelight dinner and special d??cor for my friends on the private beach, and it was honestly stunning. The setup was beautifully done and the service throughout was top-notch. Everything was arranged exactly the way we wanted with just a phone call, which made the whole experience effortless.A special thanks to Mr. Akshay, Mr. Jonas, and Mr. Sudhakar for going above and beyond and giving us the vacation we really needed. Highly recommended!

Incredible Space for Large Families, Stunning beach but Missing Luxury Basics (No Pool & Inconsistent Food)We stayed in the Royal Chalet as a family of five (including a 3-year-old and 6-year-old). This property is a mix of high potential and frustrating execution. Here is the breakdown for anyone considering a stay:The Room & Property:We stayed in the Royal Chalet, which is the property's biggest strength. If you are a large family (we had 9 people gathered comfortably at one point), this space is unbeatable in Havelock’much better than what you’ll find at the Taj or Barefoot for groups. The beach is private, safe for kids, and beautifully shaded by natural trees. The beach access is fantastic. One walkway is well-paved, while the other is a charming forest path (with lights). The beach itself is super safe for kids, clean, and uncrowded. A major plus: the sun loungers are placed under natural shade, so you can stay there comfortably for hours. However, service on the beach is non-existent’no ordering desk, long waits for drinks, and used dishes are rarely cleared.Note: There is no common swimming pool, which is a major omission for a luxury resort.The Kitchen & Chef Inconsistency (The biggest letdown):The food was highly frustrating. There is a complete lack of consistency and basic culinary technique:The "White" Breakfast: Every morning, staples like pancakes, parathas, and dosas’which should be golden brown’were served "white" and undercooked. It happened so regularly it felt like a lack of training rather than a one-off mistake.Lack of Presentation: For the prices charged, the presentation was non-existent. The Christmas Gala dinner (which we paid heavily for) started 45 minutes late, and the chocolate mousse had melted into syrup within 15 minutes of being served.The Tea Struggle: We were constantly pushed to drink pre-prepared tea from a heater that tasted burnt, and getting a fresh cup was a multi-request ordeal. While the chef will make off-menu items for kids, the taste varies so much day-to-day that you never know what you’re going to get.Service & Unprofessional Billing:The new manager, Mr. Akshay, and the newer staff Vishal and Aman, are extremely hospitable and clearly trying to improve things.Other staff however were more passive and non commital to any requests. We had to ask for basic "essentials" (toothpaste, dustbins, Odomos) that should have been ready upon arrival. Also, the billing process was exhausting. Menu prices for the exact same items changed on different days. I had to spend 45 minutes of my vacation doing "bill math" to catch overcharges that would have gone unnoticed otherwise.Pro Tip on Ferry Tickets:The hotel significantly overcharges for ferry tickets (upgrade is 590 on ferry but they quoted 1200). Save yourself the stress and money’book your Makruzz tickets directly online.Verdict:Munjoh has the location and the space, but it lacks the soul and standard of a luxury resort. It’s a 5-star price for a 3-star experience.

It was calm, clean, and perfect for family walks, photos, and simply sitting together enjoying the sound of the waves.The food was delicious and fresh, and mealtimes felt relaxed rather than rushed, which we really appreciated.Overall, Munjoh gave us the perfect family getaway. Peaceful, beautiful, and genuinely comforting. If you’re planning a trip to Havelock with your loved ones, this place is absolutely worth choosing.

We just finished an awesome stay at this beach view resort for our honeymoon, and I can truly say it was a 10/10 experience.The resort is very well-maintained, the rooms were clean, and the food was good. The staff were also wonderful’everyone was incredibly friendly and humble. We especially noticed the constant effort by staff to keep the walkway and common areas spotlessly clean.The true highlight is definitely the private beach access. My wife and I seriously felt like we had the entire beach to ourselves, which made our time there feel incredibly precious.
