Papa Jolly Eco Resort - Near Morjim

Our stay at Papa Jolly Eco Resort near Mirrin Beach in Goa was fantastic, and I highly recommend it. We came with family, making it ideal for a family vacation, but I would also happily return with my partner since it suits a romantic escape perfectly. Even though we arrived late at night, the welcome was very warm. Entering the resort felt like stepping into a serene oasis surrounded by lush plants, palm trees, bamboo, and tall banana trees, creating a truly beautiful and calming setting. We had asked ahead for a ground-floor room for my mother to avoid stairs, and the staff kindly arranged it. Our room was poolside, which added to the experience. The location is great—local and peaceful without feeling isolated or dull. There’s no noise from parties or crowds, yet the beach is just a 5–10 minute walk away. The resort offers a quiet, intimate atmosphere with personal service, while the nearby beach is lively and trendy, with options ranging from relaxed shacks to chic beach clubs that look like they belong on Instagram. Our room was cozy, clean, and tastefully decorated. The bed was very large (about 2x2 meters) and comfortable. The air conditioning worked excellently; we even had to lower it at night because it got too cold, which is a treat in Goa’s heat. The decor blends traditional touches like antique furniture and textiles with a modern, stylish bathroom. The staff were always friendly and attentive, quickly responding whenever we needed something like fresh towels. Overall, it was a wonderful stay in a unique and lovely place, and we would definitely come back.

The hotel is well-kept and thoughtfully designed, featuring a gorgeous garden filled with mature banana and palm trees, many flowers, and cozy spots to relax. There is ample shade, sturdy comfortable chairs, and charming evening lights that create a warm ambiance. The pool is clean and well cared for, with daily upkeep including watering plants, sweeping paths, and keeping the entire area spotless. Our room was spotless and well furnished, including a safe and a power strip compatible with European plugs. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which is essential here, keeping the room very comfortable. Bath and shower towels were provided, along with toiletries like hand soap, body lotion, shampoo, and shower gel. We enjoyed a private terrace with solid wooden furniture, soft cushions, shaded areas, and a ceiling fan—a perfect spot to relax. The bathroom was modern, spacious, and immaculate, featuring a great rain shower and a private toilet. The restaurant offered excellent food at reasonable prices, with especially good fries, and affordable cocktails. The service was exceptional: staff were very friendly, attentive, and accommodating, handling requests like extra sauce, a fan, or mosquito spray with ease. Tables were cleaned before seating, chairs were comfortable, and their genuine care for guests was evident. Overall service exceeded expectations, with staff speaking good English and eager to assist with taxi bookings and excursions at fair prices. The owner personally accompanied us to a nearby massage place to ensure a good deal and satisfactory experience, demonstrating their dedication to guests. Reception operates 24/7, and the property feels safe and well managed. The gate closes at midnight to prevent beach path access at night, but entry is always possible through the front. The beach is about a 200-meter walk along a private, solid path with a small staircase at the end. Although there is some litter in the bushes along the way, the beach itself is beautiful with many cozy shacks. The location is convenient, with an ATM across the street offering good euro exchange rates, a nearby supermarket for groceries, and a massage/spa place around the corner (more of a massage salon with a steam room) that we recommend. Overall, it was an amazing stay with outstanding service, lovely surroundings, and great attention to detail. Highly recommended for visitors to Goa.

I really adore this tucked-away treasure right in the heart of Morjim. The restaurant located at the rear is charming and tranquil, surrounded by tropical greenery and filled with the sounds of nature and birdsong, offering a stark contrast to the busy street at the front. The menu offers a nice variety of drinks and dishes. The owner pays close attention, and the entire staff is welcoming and supportive. I highly recommend staying at Papa Jolly’s.
