Sangai Continental (The Boutique Hotel)

It was nice.

My stay at Sangai Continental was excellent. The staff were very helpful, polite, and always willing to help with a friendly attitude, which made the stay very pleasant. The service was top-notch—quick, professional, and attentive to all requests. The food was tasty, offering a nice selection and high quality. The hotel is conveniently situated in the main market area. They also have a well-equipped gym on site. In summary, Sangai Continental provides wonderful hospitality, superb service, good cuisine, and a great location. I would strongly recommend it to visitors and would gladly return.

I visited Wild Rice expecting a memorable family dinner but was met with doubtful looks, maybe the kids made them uneasy or they felt we didn't fit in at 'Wild Rice'. The man serving us was the least friendly. When we asked for recommendations on the best chicken and fish dishes, he reluctantly said, 'Fish curry and Chicken Curry.' I asked, 'Which style?' and he surprisingly replied, 'fish means fish curry and chicken means chicken.' I ignored this and ordered a plain omelette, asking only for salt and nothing else. The man quickly clarified that plain means plain with only salt (I hoped they wouldn't add black pepper as usual). The food was as ordinary as any local dhaba, not justifying the high prices, except for the fish which was freshly cooked since they had forgotten the order. Interestingly, the fish arrived almost an hour after ordering. I felt let down by the friend who recommended Wild Rice, as the experience was truly wild and terrible! Still, I left a small tip.

Well-kept property. Suitable for all business travelers.
