Couple • India • Oct 2026If you end up spending almost the same as Swapnagandha, I think the money is better spent there.Shatavari has a beautiful location and huge potential, but the hospitality does not match the premium positioning or price. Staff seemed poorly trained, and some situations were quite uncomfortable — from being stared at throughout meals, to the trek guide watching reels and playing music during the jungle walk.Dinner was served only at 9:30 PM, unless you paid extra from the à la carte menu, and lunch and dinner were almost the same.The property is beautiful, but the service, food experience and attention to guests need major improvement.

The staff are very helpful, and the food tastes great. Overall, it was a very calming experience. Definitely a place to visit if you want a break.

The drive from Goa takes about two and a half hours and is a scenic journey through the western Ghats. The resort itself ranks among the most stunning places I've visited, with breathtaking views, abundant greenery, and beautiful surroundings. They feature an infinity pool and lush gardens. Activities include a bonfire and a bullock cart ride, which we really enjoyed. The resort is best experienced during the monsoon season. Guests must leave their cars at reception, and the staff transports them uphill in their vehicles, driven by skilled drivers. The path can be slippery and challenging for older guests. We stayed in the ridge cottage, which provides lovely views. The resort is somewhat isolated, so it's best to arrive at check-in time and stay for one night. Overall, the experience is delightful, and the food was delicious as well.

Truly the most stunning spot I've visited for a staycation. It's warm and inviting, with a location that's absolutely gorgeous. I really enjoyed their natural pool. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, offering a lovely view from the balcony. What I appreciated the most was their authentic homemade food and the excellent staff at the resort!
