Stayed in Premium rooms on top floor. Nice Rooms, Nice view, Nice Staff, very Good location, Good Food - Sufficient parking. Space & food for drivers.Nonavailability of Lift was major disadvantage - though Lift duct exists, but lifts are not installed. For we senior citizens, this was BIG hurdle, as stairs are very steep.

The location and mountain views are absolutely stunning, and the property has a beautifully decorated outdoor seating area with great ambiance. Rooms are very cozy with big glass windows.Unfortunately, the hospitality was a major letdown. The food was simply not good, and the service was equally disappointing. It is a gorgeous place with a lot of potential, but they really need to improve their kitchen and staff training.

Booked this small boutique hotel as a transit stay while travelling from Ranikhet to Kausani, and it turned out to be a pleasant experience.Not every hill stay needs to come with luxury expectations ’ sometimes simplicity works best.The hotel is small and cozy, the rooms were clean, and the view from the higher-floor room was beautiful and refreshing.Service was prompt and warm, especially by Hemant, who took good care of us during our stay.The food was simple yet tasty ’ we tried both veg and non-veg options and enjoyed them.Overall, a comfortable and peaceful stopover for travelers looking for a decent stay in the hills.

We stayed for two days at Stone Wood Cottages in Jageshwar during a friends' trip, and it became one of the most delightful and tranquil experiences we've had in Kumaon. The property's standout feature is its location, offering expansive valley views from the front and stunning Himalayan scenery from the back. Whether enjoying morning tea on the porch or quietly soaking in the surroundings, the setting constantly reminded us why Jageshwar is one of Uttarakhand's hidden gems. The cottages are cozy, simple, and very clean, focusing on comfort and nature rather than excessive luxury. The design fits well with the environment, creating a warm and inviting feel. Hospitality was a highlight, with the family-run management providing genuine and caring service that made us feel like guests in a home rather than hotel visitors. The homemade meals were fresh and comforting, especially the local Kumaoni dishes available upon prior request, which makes sense given the property's intimate scale and effort to prepare authentic food. For those visiting the temples, the location is perfect, and the forest walk to the temple complex added a peaceful and special touch. The surrounding deodar forests made even a simple walk memorable. The property is also great for stargazing, with the front porch serving as an ideal spot to enjoy the clear night sky away from city lights. A tip for future guests: it can get quite chilly in the evenings and mornings, so bringing warm clothes is advisable regardless of the season. Stone Wood Cottages is perfect for travelers looking for peace, nature, mountain views, simple comforts, and an authentic Jageshwar experience. If you value family hospitality, homemade food, forest walks, and quiet moments in nature, this place will likely stay with you long after your visit.
