Tito's Homestay

During our bike road trip to Kalimpong, we stayed at Tito's homestay. The location was easy to find. The rooms and atmosphere were excellent. If you want to stay near the city center but in a quiet area, this is the perfect spot. The staff were very polite and well-mannered, which was great. For groups, there is a penthouse and terrace available, with food and drinks offered on-site. Overall, I would rate it 5 stars.

If you're traveling with a large group, this place is not suitable. The penthouse is in a separate building above the restaurant, while the other rooms are in a different building downhill. They assign rooms across buildings without informing you that the penthouse building locks around 10pm. It's fine if you're a couple or a group staying only in the penthouse, but if friends want to hang out together later, it's problematic. When we asked if there was a way to stay together despite being split between buildings, they refused to accommodate and even questioned why we wanted to stay up past 10, telling us to sleep. The included dinner tasted awful, and half the group left it uneaten. Breakfast was just maggie noodles. I definitely would NOT recommend this place for a group of friends. Hospitality was nonexistent.

The rooms were tidy, the environment lovely, and the hospitality very welcoming. The meals were tasty and reminded me of home. I strongly suggest this place for a calm and cozy stay! Looking forward to returning.
