Treebo Kumily Gate Thekkady, Periyar National Park

The worst hotel i have ever seend. The food is not up to the mark and even the quality and quanity is very pathetic and pricess are very high. We informed the team members and I think they don't have a professional chef because we are complianed about food but he doesn't come and meet our table and he was spoke with other table it's very unprofessional, mainly he don't know how to speak guests. Please treat the coustomers are equally and professionally .Fully waste our time and money.

I think we got the suite room . Room no 206. It’s a huge room with living room and a dining room and a sitout as well. But the washroom does not have an exhaust fan. No toiletries . The linen is very old.The location is a bit odd, with the entry road being very congested. The breakfast buffet is pathetic, and I tried uploading the video for you to judge on your own but it’s not uploading

We stayed in this hotel for couple of days as family. Staff was not helpful at all. Hotel doesn't have basic facilities for family stay like no milk for kids etc. in the name of restaurant, they just have restobar next to it which is more a bar than restaurant.Hotel has breakfast from 8:30 to 10am only. For tourist place like Thekkady, they need to provide early breakfast options from 7:30 like all other hotels there. Staff completely rejected our request for early or late breakfast for both days.No hot water in bathroom and no extra bedding for kids even after charging extra money for kids.I won't recommend this hotel for anyone, especially families.

Overall the room facilities and services are not worth the money we paid. The breakfast spread was poor. Room did not have Air conditioning and the ventilation was also not proper. There was a fire inside the bathroom during the night and the room was full of smoke. Though we were offered a different room for that night, we were forced to stay in the same room with smell of smoke. The hotel authorities offered to address the issue but did nothing. We developed allergy the next day staying in the room and fell sick. There were limited service personnel for the breakfast area. We found fruit particles inside the coffee served to us. The coffee cup was sticky evidently due to preparing the coffee with unclean hands. The spread for breakfast was very bad and not worth the amount they charged.

We stayed for 3 days at Treebo Kumily Gate Hotel in Kumily and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with a smile. The complimentary breakfast was delightful, and they graciously provided additional dishes upon request without any hesitation. Overall, it was a pleasant and memorable stay. The hotel is situated just behind the main bus stand, with several tourist attractions located within a 1 km radius, making them easily accessible on foot.
