Avoid Vignesh Residency at All Costs: Absolute Disaster and Deceitful ServiceI booked a room at Vignesh Residency for one night (Sept 11–12), and it was an unmitigated disaster from start to finish.Upon checking in, the air conditioning was completely dead. The front desk brushed me off, claiming it was being "serviced" and would be fixed shortly. I left for the day hoping for the best, only to return in the evening to a room that was still an oven. When I went down to complain, I was met with a chaotic lobby and four other furious guests dealing with the exact same issue. After waiting endlessly with zero resolution from the staff, I gave up and tried to sleep with the ceiling fan on maximum speed. It was so agonizingly hot that I didn't get a single minute of sleep the entire night.The nightmare continued at breakfast, where I met two more guests who had also been denied working AC and suffered through a sleepless night. Crucially, two of these guests confirmed the hotel had compensated them by downgrading their billing to a non-AC rate.Equipped with this information, I went to reception to request the same reasonable compensation for my ruined night. Instead of accountability, I was met with blatant lies and breathtaking unprofessionalism. The front desk staff flat-out denied giving discounts to anyone else and bluntly told me there was "nothing they could do."The Low Highlights: * Non-existent Amenities: AC didn't work for the entire duration of the stay. * Dishonest Staff: Repeatedly lied about ongoing repairs that never happened. * Double Standards & Deceit: Refused fair compensation while secretly discounting other affected guests, then lying to my face about it. * Zero Customer Service: Complete apathy toward guests who paid for a comfortable stay and received a sleepless night in a sauna.Save your money, your sleep, and your sanity. Our two-night stay at Vignesh Residency, Srirangam was peaceful and comfortable. The biggest advantage of this property is its excellent location—it is very close to the "Rajagopuram, the main entrance of the Srirangam Temple", and is also conveniently located for visiting other nearby places.The reception staff and other team members were very cooperative and helpful throughout our stay. The property also has a restaurant serving reasonably good food, which was quite convenient.One suggestion for future guests: I would recommend avoiding the room package that includes breakfast. The breakfast options are quite limited, and for the same price, you can order a much better breakfast of your choice from the restaurant.Overall, we had a pleasant and peaceful stay, especially considering the convenient location. We would be happy to recommend Vignesh Residency to those visiting Srirangam for a temple visit or pilgrimage.
