Hotel Sri Hayagriva

This hotel was my favourite place one.Excellent ambience.The rooms are very good and maintained clean. AC, hot water always available. The vegetarian food is available and homely and tasty food.Room boy Mr. Neelamegam is very friendly, helpful and good service.Rooms and bathroom Outstanding cleanliness. All are good.Nice place to stay with family. Walkable distance from Srirangam temple.

We have stayed in this hotel a couple of time in the past due to its excellent location (walking distance from the temple) and its proximity to our relatives' place. It has been okay generally considering the low price point. But now there is zero maintenance done in the hotel - this time, the room and esp. the washroom was in a horrible state. Even after pointing it out and asking someone to clean the washroom, it wasn't cleaned properly - the person just cleaned for literally 2 minutes and left! Neither the bedsheet nor the pillow were clean. the bathmat was gross. the paint on the walls was also dirty. Finally we found another hotel and left at night - for that too the manager was super insistent that we stay the night in another room and that the rooms were not actually dirty! We agreed to pay for that night and the owner gave us a refund for the next night. Will not be staying here again..

I stayed at Hotel Sri Hayagriva in Srirangam and overall it was a very pleasant experience. The location couldn’t be more convenient if you’re visiting the temple ’ it’s only a quick rickshaw ride away, which made our morning darshan smooth and stress-free. The room we booked was clean, airy, and straightforward’no fancy frills, but everything worked and felt comfortable. The staff were friendly, helpful, quietly efficient, and gave us good tips about local transport and the best time to visit.I loved the quiet little courtyard and the rooftop spot where I could sit and unwind after the busy temple visit. Breakfast was simple and home-style’fresh south Indian fare which was just right for the morning. If I had one caveat: if you’re used to luxury touches (spa, high-end decor, big lobby) you might notice those are missing. But if you’re looking for a decent, well-run place that keeps things modest and focused, this hotel hits the mark. For value, location and service, I’d give it a solid 4.0 out of 5 stars.

Very unprofessional and discourteous staff. Takes inordinately long time to get any response from the reception. It took 2hrs for them to deliver bottle of water and we had to go to the restaurant ourselves for morning coffee. God save you from Mr Hariharan, the night receptionist. Not worth the trouble in case travelling with family and elders.
