Zana Forest Resort Ranthambore

I truly enjoyed my stay at Zana Forest Resort. The hospitality was excellent, and the food was delicious.

We have been visiting Ranthambore for years, but this was our first time trying a new place, Zana Forest Resort, RTR, and it turned out to be a terrible experience. The bathroom, dressing room, and room were infested with centipedes, lizards, and house crickets. The restaurant staff kept picking their noses and then serving food with the same hands. The bitter watermelon juice caused food poisoning. During the morning safari, there was no one available to help with tea, water, or printing our safari ticket. We had to call the guard at the resort entrance, who didn’t know whom to contact. In hospitality, there should be staff to assist guests with any needs or emergencies. To make matters worse, the manager, Chandra Bhan Singh Jhala, was extremely rude and unprofessional. When we raised our concerns, he said that in the jungle, insects and creepy crawlies are to be expected in rooms. He also mentioned that a 15% discount was already given at booking for any discomfort, so we shouldn’t expect more. He then complained about it to other staff, and when I confronted him about his rude behavior, he said it was his personal life and he could say whatever he wanted. When I asked for the owner’s contact, he rudely claimed to be the sole authority and refused to share any details. He showed no decency in apologizing for the illness and discomfort and refused to give us our individual restaurant bills despite repeated requests. In short, beware of this place as it can ruin your experience and make you sick. I hope the owners realize how damaging such experiences can be to their reputation.

The staff is nice, but the management is rude and shows favoritism. I wouldn't suggest this place for families with children. We booked about 8 rooms at the resort, yet they refused to let us use hookah in the garden or near the pool. However, on our checkout day, other guests were drinking whiskey and using hookah right by the pool, and the manager witnessed it but later denied knowing about it, while the guests continued for another two hours.

My stay at the hotel was fantastic. The rooms were tidy, cozy, and well kept. The whole team's hospitality was top-notch. Special thanks to the housekeeping team members, Rahul and Dharma, for their exceptional service. They were polite, careful, and kept the room immaculate during my entire stay. I also want to commend Rajesh, the waiter, for his great service. He was courteous, attentive, and always willing to help with a smile, which made dining very enjoyable. The commitment and professionalism of Rahul, Dharma, and Rajesh made my visit even better. I highly recommend this hotel and am eager to return.

I strongly suggest staying here. The ambiance and mood are nice. Their food and service are pretty good too. The check-in process could be better. They offer good arcade games, though some require fixing. Apart from that, it was an overall enjoyable experience and I am satisfied with the room comfort, service, and food.
