India has crossed one million COVID-19 tests, confirmed Indian Council Of Medical Research (ICMR).
According to officials, this is a major milestone in the fight against coronavirus.
The achievement comes amid the ICMR’s attempts to increase testing for COVID-19 patients.
At least 310 government laboratories and 111 private laboratories in the country are conducting the tests for the diagnosis of COVID-19.
Government officials confirmed that the plan is to keep the focus on increasing rampant testing, targeting one lakh coronavirus tests every day.
Currently, India has over 40000 cases of coronavirus.
