Here are the complete details:

1) Railways restores old fare of AC 3-Tier Economy class

Good news for train travellers! Railways recently issued an order to restore the fare for AC 3-Tier Economy class. Despite the restoration in price, the national transporter will continue offering linens to the passengers.

Earlier, the fare for an AC 3-Tier Economy class ticket had been made equal to the fare of an AC 3-Tier ticket. This was due to the cost of linen which was initially not provided in the AC Economy class.

Here’s the official tweet confirming the same:

2) Another milestone for Railways! 100% electrification of the Odisha rail network completed

With the goal of being a net zero carbon emitter by 2030, the Indian Railways has fully electrified Odisha’s existing broad gauge network of 2,822 route km. This step will help to reduce the line haul cost, increase sectional capacity, and lower operating and maintenance costs of the electric locomotive, among other benefits.
