Jet Airways To Shift Its Operations To T2 At Mumbai Airport

Mumbai calling? Well, here’s a piece of news for you!

Jet Airways is all set to migrate its domestic operations to Terminal 2 at Mumbai Airport on March 15. This relocation will not only help integrate both domestic and international flight operations in one terminal but also allow the airline to move a huge number of domestic air passengers onto its international network and vice-versa. This would be a great boom as Jet operates over 136 flight daily out of Mumbai to local and international destinations.

While domestic to international transfers will take only 75 min as compared to more than one and half hours presently, international to domestic transfers will take only 90 mins as compared to 2 hours presently.

The new terminal is spread across an area of 4.4 million square feet and has 80 arrival immigration counters and 60 departure check-in counters that can handle upto 40 million passengers annually. Do visit Mumbai to see this state-of-the-art terminal, but before that avail a cashback of flat Rs. 1000 on flight bookings via ixigo.

All passengers would be required to enter the terminal through gate no. 7. There are 41 dedicated counters for both first, business class and economy (domestic and international) passengers. While island ‘P’ (check-in counter for passengers) will be for first and business class passengers on domestic or international flights, islands ‘K’ and ‘L’ will be for passengers travelling in economy class on domestic flights and international flights respectively. Additionally, there will be an exclusive island ‘M’ for passengers having JetPrivilege Platinum, Gold and Silver cards.
