Latest Coronavirus Updates: South Western Railway creates Contactless Cubicles for Doctors

Amid the crisis of COVID-19, there are many incidents and updates that help us keep the hope alive. Here are some of the major highlights:

1. Maharashtra Health Minister said, “The number of COVID-19 hotspots have gone down. Now, Maharashtra has only five COVID-19 hotspots – Mumbai, Mumbai Metropolitan Region, Pune, Nagpur, and Nashik.”  

2. South Western Railway zone’s Hubballi Workshop has created contactless cubicles for doctors. With contactless cubicles, doctors will not have to come in direct physical contact with patients. 

3. Indian Railways has transported 1,150 tons of medical items during the lockdown period across the country. The items include medicines, masks, and other medical commodities.

4. The Food Corporation of India (FCI) has stepped up efforts to ensure increased supply of food grain to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep islands during the lockdown period.
