Lockdown 2.0: Kerala To Open Restaurants, 7 Districts on April 20

Kerala state government has decided to open the state in a staggered manner from today.  7 of its 14 districts will open restaurants and permit private vehicles to run under the odd-even scheme.

After the 21-day Lockdown, Kerala was divided into four zones, namely Red, Orange A, Orange B and Green. The red zone will continue to remain out of bounds with no relaxations.


In the last 7 days, the number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Kerala remained in single digits, and the recovery rate has significantly improved.

Restaurants will be allowed to operate from 7 am to 7 pm adhering to social distancing norms as well as essential hygiene practises.

Odd-even scheme will be implemented in the state exempting women solo drivers and emergency services.
