The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued extensive guidelines for the extended nationwide lockdown till May 3. A number of activities have been allowed “to mitigate hardship to the public”.
Under these new guidelines, after April 20, e-commerce companies as well as vehicles used by e-commerce operators will be allowed to function with necessary permissions.
Similarly, services provided by plumbers, electricians, IT-repair personnel, motor mechanics and carpenters have also been allowed to function after April 20.
However, most of these services will only be allowed outside of the containment areas as notified by the local administrations. Districts that have reported several cases of infection will see very strong containment measures. Only essential services will be permitted in these districts and there will be strict restriction on public movement.
