How Does Pay with Points Work for Train Booking?
The process is smooth, automatic, and designed to bring you delight in just a few steps:
1. Select Your Booking: Choose the train journey you'd like to book on ixigo.
2. Head to the Payment Page: Once you’re on the payment page, ixigo will use your mobile number to instantly retrieve any reward points linked to your account.
3. See Your Rewards in Real-Time: The platform will automatically display and apply the available reward points you can use under the ‘Amount to be Paid’ section.
4. Maximise Your Savings: The system prioritises the reward program offering the highest savings and shows it upfront.
Terms & Conditions
- A nominal Reward Processing Fee is applicable when a user opts to redeem reward points while booking on ixigo.
- This fee is calculated as a percentage of the redeemable balance from the reward points used in the transaction.
- The Reward Processing Fee will be clearly displayed under the fare/payment breakup section during checkout.
- Brand Loyalty Points (e.g., Zillion, Flipkart SuperCoins, Bonus Rewards, InterMiles, etc.): Users can pay the remaining amount using any payment method supported on ixigo, such as UPI, credit/debit cards, net banking, wallets, etc.
- Bank Loyalty Points (e.g., AU Bank, SBI, Yes Bank, IDFC FIRST Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, IndusInd Bank, etc.):
Users must complete the remaining payment using a card issued by the same bank whose points are being redeemed. - The value of reward points and applicable processing fee may vary based on the reward program and partner terms.
- Once applied, reward points cannot be reversed or refunded unless the entire booking is cancelled as per ixigo’s cancellation policy.
- ixigo reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Reward Processing Fee structure at its sole discretion, with or without prior notice.
- In case of a cancellation, the refund amount (if applicable) will be processed in accordance with ixigo’s cancellation policy.
- Any non-refundable portion, including the Reward Processing Fee, will not be returned to the user.
- Any suspicious or fraudulent use of reward points may result in booking cancellation or suspension of the user’s account, at ixigo’s discretion.
