5th February 2018: Central Railway to Run 22 Special Trains for Holi

To clear the extra rush of passengers during Holi Festival and the long weekend, Central Railway will run 22 special trains. With a tremendous demand of trains during the festival, Indian Railways has taken this decision to avoid chaos and provide a comfortable and safe journey to the passengers. 6th February 2018: Railways to completely phase out Diesel Locos in India by 2022

Speaking at the Institute of Railway Electrical Engineers, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal mentioned that no diesel locomotives will be allowed in Delhi/NCR after March 2019, indicating that Railways is on track to completely phase out such locomotives by 2022. Click here to read the entire news..

Railways to Work Extensively on Upgrading Tracks

After digging deep to find the root cause of growing train accidents, railway officials concluded that the replacement of old tracks with the new ones should be done on priority.
