Railways Announces More Cancellations for Winter Season

Due to weather changes that are expected in the winter season and maintenance work, various divisions of the Indian Railways announced partial and complete cancellation, diversion and frequency reduction for many trains. 

Passengers are requested to take note of the affected train schedules and make necessary arrangements accordingly. Scroll down for further details.

> The Northeast Frontier Railway released a list of services which will be cancelled in the upcoming months and for which the frequency will be reduced. 

Some of these are: 

  • Train no. 15903 Dibrugarh–Chandigarh Express. 
  • Train no. 15904 Chandigarh–Dibrugarh Express.
  • Train no. 12505 Kamakhya–Anand Vihar Terminal North East Express. 
  • Train no. 12506 Anand Vihar Terminal–Kamakhya North East Express.

> The South Central Railway declared that 10 trains will be diverted in the last week of November due to the ongoing non-interlocking work.

> The East Central Railway announced the cancellation of 12 trains until the end of February 2023. 

This decision has been taken due to the expected fog in the coming months. These trains connect major cities like Ambala, Amritsar, Sitamarhi and Jaynagar.
