Railways Announces New Trains for Summer and Extension of Regular Trains

The Indian Railways has launched additional special trains for summers to accommodate the expected spike in the number of passengers. It has also announced extension and expedition of some trains on popular routes.

> The South Central Railway will be starting 98 trips of a special train between Machilipatnam and Tirupati. 

Train no. 07095 will depart from Machilipatnam at 05:40 PM and arrive at the destination at 4 AM the next day. Train no. 07096 will depart from Tirupati at 9 PM and arrive at the destination at 07:45 AM the next day.

> The North Western Railway will be running a Summer Special train between Jaipur and Mumbai. 

Starting from 13th April, train no. 09723 will depart from Jaipur on Wednesdays at 08:10 AM and arrive at Bandra Terminus the next day at 04:55 AM. Starting from 14th April, train no. 09724 will depart from Bandra Terminus on Thursdays at 09:30 AM and arrive at Jaipur the next day at 06:55 AM. Each train will take 12 trips.

The Indian Railways has also announced extension of some trains. Below are the details. 

> The East Coast Railway has declared that four trains will now be stopping at Bhubaneswar New Station.

These trains run on popular routes like Puri – Cuttack, Kharagpur – Khurda Road and Palasa – Cuttack.

> The East Central Railway has announced a change in train number as well as speed for the popular Howrah – Jaynagar – Howrah train. 

Train nos. 53041/53042 Passenger will now run as an Express locomotive under new train nos. 13031/13032.

> The North Western Railway inaugurated the extension of Jaipur – Daulatpur Chowk Intercity Express at Mount Abu. 

For the convenience of the passengers, train nos. 19717/19718 will now be extended to Sabarmati (Ahmedabad).
