Railways Announces Special Trains Ahead of New Year

Planning to go home or travel to a new destination this holiday season? If yes, then Indian Railways has you covered with their special train services. 

The Railways has decided to operate several special trains to manage the rush around Christmas and New Year.

> The North Western Railway has announced the operation of 12 special trains for the convenience of passengers.

  1. Train no. 09619 Ajmer – Vasco Da Gama Superfast Special will operate on 25th December and 1st January. It will leave Ajmer at 9:00 am and reach Vasco Da Gama station by 9:45 pm the next day.

  2. Train no. 09620 Vasco Da Gama – Ajmer Superfast Special will operate on 27th December and 3rd January. It will leave Vasco Da Gama at 9:20 and reach Ajmer by 8:00 pm the next day.

  1. Train no. 04705 Bikaner – Bandra Terminus Special will operate on 26th December and 2nd January. It will leave Bikaner by 4:30 pm and reach Bandra Terminus by 4 pm the next day.
  1. Train no. 04706 Bandra Terminus – Bikaner Special will operate on 27th December and 3rd January. It will leave Bandra Terminus at 5:30 pm and reach Bikaner at 3:15 pm the next day.

  1. Train no. 09739 Deher ka Balaji (Jaipur) – Sainagar Shirdi Special will operate on 27th December and 3rd January. It will leave Deher ka Balaji at 12:40 pm and reach Sainagar Shirdi at 1:00 pm the next day. 
  1. Train no. 09740 Sainagar Shirdi – Deher ka Balaji (Jaipur) Special will operate on 28th December and 4th January. It will leave Sainagar Shirdi at 6:30 pm and reach Deher ka Balaji at 5:40 pm the next day.

  1. Train no. 09737 Jaipur – Hyderabad Special will operate on 26th December and 3rd January. It will leave Jaipur at 3:20 pm and reach Hyderabad by 1:00 am on the second day.
  1. Train no. 09738 Hyderabad – Jaipur Special will operate on 28th and 4th January. It will leave Hyderabad at 3:10 pm and reach Jaipur by 5:25 am on the second day.

  1. Train no. 09723 Jaipur – Bandra Terminus – Jaipur Superfast Express will operate on 29th December and 5th January. It will leave Jaipur at 8:10 am and reach Bandra Terminus by 4:55 pm the next day.

  2. Train no. 09724 Bandra Terminus – Jaipur Superfast Express will operate on 30th December and 6th January. It will leave Bandra Terminus at 11:15 am and reach Jaipur by 7:00 am.

  1. Train no. 09621 Ajmer – Bandra Terminus Superfast Special will operate on 26th December and 2nd January. It will leave Ajmer at 6:35 am and reach Bandra Terminus by 4:15 am the next day.
  1. Train no. 09622 Bandra Terminus – Ajmer Superfast Special will operate on 27th December and 3rd January. It will leave Bandra Terminus at 11:15 am and reach Ajmer by 9:10 pm the next day.

> The Eastern Railway has also decided to start special trains for passengers travelling around the New Year. 

  1. Train no. 03129 Sealdah – New Jalpaiguri (NJP) will operate on 25th and 27th December. It will leave Sealdah station at 11:55 pm and reach NJP by 10:10 am the next day.

  2. Train no. 03130 New Jalpaiguri (NJP) – Sealdah will operate on 26th and 28th December. It will leave NJP at 12:50 pm and reach Sealdah by 11:05 pm the same day.

  3. Train no. 03101 Sealdah – Kamakhya will operate on 24th December. It will leave Sealdah at 11:55 pm and reach Kamakhya by 6:35 pm the next day.

  4. Train no. 03102 Kamakhya – Sealdah will operate on 25th December. It will leave Kamakhya at 9:50 pm and reach Sealdah by 3:45 the next day. 

Please note that the booking for train no. 03129 and 03101 will start on 17th December.

  1. Train no. 03005 Howrah – Puri Special will operate on 24th December. It will leave Howrah at 11:50 pm and reach Puri by 9:35 am the next day.

  2. Train no. 03006 Puri – Howrah Special will operate on 25th December. It will leave Puri at 2:00 pm and reach Howrah by 11:45 pm.
