Railways Diverts and Short Terminates Several Trains

Due to engineering work and other reasons, various zones of Indian Railways have diverted, short terminated and cancelled many train services. Scroll down for further details.

> The South Central Railway has announced cancellation, partial cancellation and diversion of more than 20 trains.

These trains cover several important routes, including Pune–Nizamabad, Hyderabad–Hadapsar, Bengaluru–Mumbai and Shirdi–Chennai. For the complete list of affected trains, here’s the official tweet: 

> The North Eastern Railway has announced diversion and short termination of multiple trains.

This is due to engineering work being undertaken in the Samastipur–Muktapur section.  Here is the list of these trains: 

  • For the journey commencing on 13th May, train no. 12408 Amritsar–New Jalpaiguri Express will be diverted via Samastipur–Barauni–Khagaria route on 13th May. 
  • For journeys commencing on 13th and 16th May, train no. 14674 Amritsar–Jaynagar Express will terminate at Samastipur instead of Jaynagar. 
  • Train no. 14673 Jaynagar–Amritsar Express will commence from Samastipur instead of Jaynagar on 14th May. 
  • Train no. 14649 Jaynagar–Amritsar Express will commence from Samastipur instead of Jaynagar on 17th May.

> Owing to a subway construction block in the Chhapra–Sonpur section, four trains have been cancelled by the East Central Railway.

These trains cover popular cities like Sitamadhi, New Delhi, Katihar, Amritsar, Jammu, Barauni and Guwahati. For the complete information, here’s the official tweet
