Railways Introduces Special Rajdhani Express on New Delhi-Patna Route

The Ministry of Railways has announced its plans to run a Special Rajdhani Express during the upcoming festive season, connecting New Delhi and Patna Junction. This initiative aims to provide convenient travel options for passengers commuting between the national capital and Bihar’s capital city.

The upcoming special train will cover a distance of 1000 km in 12 hours and 20 minutes, becoming the third superfast train operating between these two destinations.


Previously, the national transportation authority introduced the Special Vande Bharat Express service connecting the same cities.

During its journey, train no. 02250/02249 New Delhi-Patna Jn-New Delhi Reserved Rajdhani Special Train will stop at five railway stations. These are – Kanpur Central, Prayagraj Junction, DD Upadhyaya Junction, Buxar, and Ara Junction Station.

The train will run for four days this month. This special train will depart from the national capital on November 10,13, 15 and 17. From Patna Junction, the train will run on November 11,14,16 and 18.
