To make festive travel smoother, Indian Railways has announced to run 12,000 special train services across the country. These additional services are designed to reduce long waitlists, ease congestion at major junctions, and provide more berths for last-minute travellers. By adding new routes and extra services, the Railways is ensuring that people can reach their homes safely and on time.

Special trains will connect key cities like
Delhi–Gaya, Saharsa–Amritsar, Chhapra–Delhi, and Muzaffarpur–Hyderabad. A new Vande Bharat Express on the Purnia–Patna route will also offer faster and more comfortable travel for passengers heading to Bihar.

According to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, these steps are part of a larger effort to make festive journeys stress-free. By expanding capacity and providing better connectivity, Indian Railways is making sure no one is left behind during one of the busiest travel seasons of the year.
