Revision in Timings, Cancellations, Diversions: See Today’s Top Train Alerts

The Indian Railways has notified about a change in timings for several special trains. Along with this, a few special trains have been diverted and partially/fully cancelled due to reasons such as the ongoing farmers’ protests and track maintenance.

1. New timings for 6 trains by the East Central Railways:

The East Central Railways (ECR) has revised the timings for 6 trains under its jurisdiction:


> Train no. 09165/09166 Darbhanga – Ahmedabad – Darbhanga Sabarmati Express: Passengers must note that these two trains operate on a tri-weekly basis. Check the new timetable and the days of operations below:

> Train no. 02947/02948 Patna – Ahmedabad – Patna Azimabad Superfast Express: While the new timings of train no. 02947 have already come into effect, the new timings for train no. 02948 will be effective from tomorrow. See the stoppages and new timings below:

> The services of train no. 09039/09040 Bandra Terminus – Muzaffarpur – Bandra Terminus have been extended till Barauni Junction. Along with this, these tri-weekly trains will now run on new timings:

2. Trains cancelled and diverted by the North Eastern Railways

The North Eastern Railways (NER) has cancelled train no. 05211 Darbhanga – Amritsar Special with journey commencing on 28.01.21. In the return direction, train no. 05212 Amritsar – Darbhanga Special with journey commencing on 30.01.21 has also been cancelled. 


The railway zone has further diverted the following trains:

> Train no. 04674 Amritsar – Jaynagar Special will be diverted via Amritsar – Tarn Taran – Beas instead of via Amritsar – Jandiala – Beas on 28.01.21.

> Train no. 04673 Jaynagar – Amritsar Special will be diverted via Beas – Tarn Taran – Amritsar instead of via Beas – Jandiala – Amritsar on 28.01.21.

3. Diversion of 3 trains by the Western Railways

The ongoing farmers’ protests have led to the diversion of three trains operated by the Western Railways:

> Train no. 02904 Amritsar – Mumbai Central Special will be diverted via Amritsar – Tarn Taran – Beas on 28.01.21.

> Train no. 02925 Bandra Terminus – Amritsar Special will be diverted via Beas – Tarn Taran – Amritsar on 28.01.21.
>Train no. 02926 Amritsar – Bandra Terminus Special will be diverted via Amritsar – Tarn Taran – Beas on 28.01.21.

4. Partial cancellation of Yesvantpur – Vasco Da Gama Special Express

The South Western Railway has partially cancelled train no. 07339 Yesvantpur – Vasco Da Gama Special Express between Yesvantpur and Arsikere on 30.01.21. The train will therefore be originating from Arsikere instead of from Yesvantpur at its scheduled time on the mentioned date.
