Signature Bridge, twice the size of Qutub Minar opens in Delhi

Good news Delhiites! The much-awaited Signature Bridge which took 14 years to build has finally opened to the public.

Here’s What Delhi’s Signature Bridge Has to Offer:

1. Built over River Yamuna, it will reduce the travel time between north and northeast Delhi and will also share the traffic burden of Wazirabad bridge.

2. It will have a 154-metre-high glass viewing box which will offer a panoramic view of the city. The bridge will also have 4 elevators to carry around 50 people to the viewing box.

Note: The viewing deck is likely to be operational in the next 2 months.

3. The 575-metre-long bridge will also have selfie spots for the visitors to seal their memories.

Bonus Fact: It is the 1st asymmetrical cable-stayed bridge in India.

The bridge which has missed several deadlines was initially estimated to cost around ₹494 crore has now costed ₹1,594 crore.
