Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will flag off India’s sixth Vande Bharat Express on 11th December.

Recently, PM Modi flagged off South India’s first Vande Bharat Express at KSR Railway Station in Bengaluru. It is being operated between Mysuru and Chennai via Bengaluru.

Here are the details:


Route: The sixth Vande Bharat Express train will run between Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh) and Nagpur (Maharashtra).

According to news reports, it will operate six days a week and complete one side of the journey in about five and a half hours.

Timings: The new train will depart from Bilaspur at 6:45 AM, and reach Nagpur at 12:15 PM. Similarly, the returning service will depart from Nagpur at 2 PM, and reach Bilaspur at 7:35 PM.

Stoppages: Raipur, Durg and Gondia.

Other superfast trains take around seven hours to reach Nagpur from Bilaspur.

The train will connect the Sealdah station in Kolkata to the New Jalpaiguri station in the North Bengal city of Siliguri.

Fact: The first Vande Bharat Express train was flagged off on February 15, 2019 on the New Delhi–Varanasi route.
