Today’s Railway Bulletin: Trains Launched, Coaches Added

Update 1: Mela Special Trains Announced

The North Western Railway shared that it will be launching 10 special services in view of the Gogameri Mela. Here are the train numbers and routes:

  • Train nos. 04785/04786 Rewari–Gogameri–Rewari Express Mela Special. 
  • Train nos. 04793/04794 Rewari–Gogameri–Rewari Express Mela Special.
  • Train nos. 09707/09708 Sadulpur–Hanumangarh–Sadulpur Express Mela Special.
  • Train nos. 09705/09706 Jaipur–Sadulpur–Jaipur Special. 
  • Train nos. 04777/04778 Hanumangarh–Sadulpur–Hanumangarh Express Mela Special. 

Update 2: Exam Special Trains Launched

The Northeast Frontier Railway has decided to run two special trains between Silchar and Kolkata.

This will aid the candidates appearing in the Railway Recruitment Board’s Non-Technical Popular Categories exam. For more information, here’s the official tweet: 

Update 3: Restoration of Trains

> The South Eastern Railway tweeted that it will be restoring one pair of services

  • Train no. 22825 Shalimar–MGR Chennai Central Express will resume operations from 9th August. After departing from Shalimar at 12:20 PM every Tuesday, it will reach its destination at 2:10 PM the next day. 
  • Train no. 22826 MGR Chennai Central–Shalimar Express will resume operations from 10th August. After departing from MGR Chennai Central at 7:55 PM every Wednesday, it will reach its destination at 11:55 PM the next day. 

> The North Eastern Railway (NER) confirmed that it will be restoring two trains between Gorakhpur and Gomti Nagar.

Update 4: Addition of Coaches

The NER also declared that two trains will receive extra coaches. 

Train nos. 82501/82502 Lucknow Jn.–New Delhi–Lucknow Jn. IRCTC Tejas Express will run with one additional Executive Class Coach from 7th to 15th August.
