Top IRCTC News: 6 new trains to start; several special trains to resume

As the demand for train travel is increasing among passengers, the Indian Railways has
announced six new special trains to various destinations across India. It is also planning to resume several important trains soon.

Following is the list of special trains that have been introduced by the Railways:

Special train between Shalimar and Bhanjpur

The South Eastern Railway has decided to run special trains between Shalimar–Bhanjpur–Shalimar as per the following schedule:

  • Train no. 08007 Shalimar–Bhanjpur Special (w.e.f 3rd August) will leave every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 04:25 PM.
  • Train no. 08008 Bhanjpur–Shalimar Special (w.e.f 4th August) will leave every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 06:15 AM.

Superfast train between Faizabad and Rameswaram

For the convenience of passengers, the Railways will run weekly superfast trains between Faizabad and Rameswaram.

Here are the details:

  • Train no. 06793 Rameswaram–Faizabad will leave every Sunday from 19th September till further notice.
  • Train no. 06794 Faizabad–Rameswaram will leave every Wednesday from 22nd September till further notice.

Daily special trains between Bhavnagar and Palitana

The Western Railway has decided to run daily special trains between Bhavnagar and Palitana from 9th August till further notice.

Here’s the schedule:

  • Train no. 09510 Bhavnagar–Palitana will leave daily at 06:30 AM.
  • Train no. 09509 Palitana–Bhavnagar will leave daily at 08:20 AM.

Railways restores several special trains on popular routes

16 special trains to resume

16 special passenger trains running through different stations of the Western Railways’ Ratlam Division are being restarted.

Restoration of 4 passenger trains

The South Eastern Railway has decided to restore the services of the following passenger trains:

  • Train no. 58151/58152 Birmitrapur–Barsuan–Birmitrapur has been resumed from today.
  • Train no. 58103/58104 Tatanagar–Barbil–Tatanagar has also been resumed from today.
