In a bid to fight Coronavirus, Railways has installed ‘Thermal Imaging Camera’ combined with ‘Facial Recognition Technology’ at the entry & exit points of Lucknow & Varanasi stations.

The infrared sensor detects the body temperature from a distance. The entire passenger movement is being closely monitored by RPF personnel.

Also, a sensor-based contact-less sanitizer dispenser has been installed in the commercial department of Northern Railways. Soon, more such dispensers shall be installed in other departments of the division.
