14 popular trains extended by Indian Railways

To boost connectivity between popular places and also to clear the rush, the Indian Railways has recently announced the extension of 14 special trains.

The extensions are for fully reserved trains, covering cities like Gorakhpur, Agartala, Bengaluru and Secunderabad among many others.

Following is the list of special trains that have been extended:

Gorakhpur Junction (GKP) – Bandra Terminus (BDTS)  –  Gorakhpur Junction (GKP)

> Train no. 05301 GKP – BDTS special train will run from Gorakhpur on 17th September, 24th September and 1st October.

> Train no. 05302 BDTS  – GKP special train will run from Bandra Terminus on 18th September, 25th September and 2nd October.

Secunderabad (SC) – Chhapra (CPR) – Secunderabad (SC)

> Train no. 07051 SC – CPR special train will run on every Sunday from Secunderabad on 12th, 19th and 26th September.

> Train no. 07052 CPR – SC special train will run on every Tuesday from Chhapra on 14th, 21st and 28th September.

Vasco da Gama (VSG) – Chennai (MAS) – Vasco da Gama (VSG) 

> Train nos. 07371/07372 VSG – MAS – VSG Weekly Express Special which was notified up to 9th –10th September is now extended up to 16th –17th September.

There is no change in timings, stoppages, etc.

Secunderabad (SC) – Agartala (AGTL) – Secunderabad (SC) 

> Train no. 07030 SC – AGTL special train leaving from Secunderabad every Monday will now run up to 27th September

> Train no. 07029 AGTL – SC special train leaving from Agartala every Friday will now run up to 1st October.

Agartala (AGTL) – Bengaluru Cantt. (BNC) – Agartala (AGTL) 

> Train no. 02984 AGTL – BNC Superfast Special has been extended. It will run on every Tuesday from 31st August, 2021 to 22nd February, 2022. 

> Train no. 02983 BNC – AGTL Superfast Special on the return leg is also extended. It will run on every Friday from 3rd September, 2021 to 25th February, 2022.

Yesvantpur (YPR) – Hazrat Nizamuddin (NZM) – Yesvantpur (YPR) 

> Train no. 06249 YPR – NZM Festival Special has been extended till 27th September. It runs on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. 

> Train no. 06250 NZM – YPR Festival Special has been extended till 30th September. It runs on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
