This new train will run between Saharsa (Bihar) and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Mumbai). It will pass through Hajipur, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction (near Varanasi) and Bhusaval.
- Train ticket booking for trips up to 1,000 km will cost around ₹450, making it affordable for many, especially middle-class and economically weaker passengers.
- For the first time, non-AC coaches will have fire detection systems.
- The train will run at a speed of up to 130 km/h.
Namo Bharat Intercity Train:
The new Jaynagar–Patna Namo Bharat train is designed for faster city-to-city travel. It will stop at important stations like Madhubani, Sakri, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Barauni, and Mokama.
- This train is fully air-conditioned, has 16 coaches, and can carry about 2,000 passengers.
- It will help connect Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities with bigger towns more efficiently.
The first Namo Bharat train in India already runs between Ahmedabad and Bhuj, reaching speeds of up to 110 km/h.
