In a move that is sure to relieve passengers in the approaching festive season, Railways has released a new list of 78 passenger special trains that will further enhance easy movement of travellers across various states.

Some of the important routes to be covered by these new trains include Lokmanya Tilak (T) – Haridwar, Howrah – Ranchi, New Delhi – Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and Barmer – Yesvantpur among many others.

IRCTC Train TicketsThe Ministry of Railways has also announced that the Railway Board has permitted the various Railway zones to start operating these 78 new trains. These trains will operate as IRCTC Covid special trains from an early convenient date which is to be announced soon.
According to the list, most of the new trains in the list are AC Express trains, Durontos, Rajdhanis and Shatabdis, except the two trains for the New Delhi – Katra route which are Vande Bharat Express trains.
Along with this, IRCTC has also announced that services of India’s first private train, the Tejas Express will resume services on the Lucknow-New Delhi route and the Ahmedabad-Mumbai route from 17th October:
