Day 14: India Under Lockdown: As coronavirus cases are rising each day in India, will the government lift the 21-day lockdown or will find a staggered exit?
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said “A graded plan to slowly open departments where hotspots aren’t existing should be made.”

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said, “We are monitoring the world situation every minute and therefore decisions are ultimately taken in the nation’s and people’s interests. That decision will be declared whenever the right time is there.”
In a move to fight the COVID-19 pandemic in the country, all Union ministers along with over 750 Members of Parliament (MPs) will take a 30% salary cut for a year.
