Delhi Airport develops a first-of-its-kind online portal for international passengers

The Delhi International Airport has developed a first-of-its-kind online portal that will enable international flyers to fill a mandatory self-declaration form. Passengers can now apply for exemption from mandatory institutional quarantine through the portal.

The aim of this move is to replace the physical forms and promote contactless travelling.

From today, a total of 5 categories of passengers can get exemption from the mandatory 7-day institutional quarantine — pregnant women; those who have suffered death in the family; those suffering from a serious illness; parents accompanying children below 10 years of age and those who have COVID-negative certificate from a test done 96 hours prior to the journey.

Passengers seeking exemption under these specific categories will need to fill the e-form available on the website – www.newdelhiairport.in. The applicants will have to submit supporting documents, including a copy of passport, at least 72 hours before boarding their flights along with the form.

Those eligible for exemption from mandatory institutional quarantine can show the approval certificate at the transfer area after landing and walk out hassle-free.
