The first flight out of the terminal will be an IndiGo flight to Mumbai, at 01:05 am.

The terminal had been shut for 18 months due to the pandemic-induced reduction in flight demand. Now, with flight operations getting back to pre-COVID levels, the terminal is being reopened anticipating the increased travel demand owing to the festive season.

It may be noted that operations restarted in a calibrated manner from Terminal 3 and Terminal 2 of the airport from May 25, 2020 and July 22, 2021 respectively.

With the resumption of the third terminal, the Delhi Airport will now be completely functional.

In a press release, the Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has stated that several safety measures are being implemented at T1 to provide passengers with a safe, healthy and comfortable flying experience. See the entire press release below:

The resumption of T1 is sure to bring convenience to domestic travellers flying out of the Delhi Airport.
