E-visa For Indians

Planning a trip abroad? Worried about visa hassles? Opt to visit a country that provides an e-visa to Indians and skip the long embassy queue.

An e-visa is quintessentially a visa that one can obtain online, through a country’s official visa portal. You do not need to visit the embassy at all or fill in any physical forms. All the paperwork takes place online, and you generally get your visa in hand within about 48 hours (though this may vary from country to country).

Although many countries offer e-visas to tourists, including India, here are a few of the countries that Indian Passport holders can visit with an e-visa.

Turkey

If you’re in the mood to explore some breathtaking architecture, beautiful mosques and the enchanting bliss of some old world charm, make sure you plan a trip to Turkey soon. You will get an e-visa that will be valid for 180 days and you can stay in the country for up to 30 days at a stretch.

Cambodia

Better known as the “Kingdom of Wonder”, Cambodia boasts of natural beauty so divine that you will simply be left spellbound. From the temples to the culture, everything in this country is worth experiencing. The visa cost is USD 37 (including processing fee) and with a validity of 3 months, you can stay in the country for 30 days on an e-visa.

Georgia

Located at the Europe – Asia intersection, the nation of Georgia has a rich historical past. Covered with a wide array of national parks and forests, this is an ideal place to get lost in the wilderness. For USD 20 plus a 2% service fee , you will get a multi-entry e-visa valid for 120 days which will permit you a stay of up to 30 days in the country.

Although this could be done on arrival in Sri Lanka, you could also do so online before you leave.
