Explosion Inside Bhopal-Ujjain Passenger Train- 6 Injured.

There have been reports of an explosion inside the Bhopal-Ujjain Passenger train in Shajapur district of Madhya Pradesh. According to ANI, more than 6 people got injured in the blast, which took place in the general coach sometime between 9.30 AM to 10.00 AM.

 

Some Details

The unfortunate incident happened when the train was on its way to Ujjain city from Bhopal. Jitendra Kumar Jayant, Railway PRO, Indore, said that the injured were admitted to a nearby hospital in Kalapipal.

The state government has announced a compensation of Rs.50,000 for critically injured and Rs.25,000 for injured travellers. The glass panes of the affected compartment were damaged as a result of the blast and as a result,  Bhopal-Ujjain train came to a halt. There was smoke in the general coach which resulted in huge panic among the passengers.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan told news agency ANI that he is observing the situation personally. The SP and the District Collector are at the spot, he added.

The Railway PRO said that a probe is on to ascertain the cause of the blast, adding that a relief train is on its way to the mishap site. Several senior Railway officials, anti-terrorism squad and intelligence officers have left for the site for ascertaining the cause behind the blast.
