Indian Railways: Extension of several special train services

Indian Railways cancelled many special and passenger train services operating on routes including Howrah, Bhubaneswar, Bengaluru, New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and few others, as a necessary precautionary measure due to Cyclone Yaas.

On the other hand, it has also extended some of the train services to benefit the passengers.

Here are the major updates:

> For the convenience of passengers and with a view to meet the travel demand, trips of 4 Special Trains are being extended. Booking of Train No. 09097, 09061, 09049 & 09175 is now open.

> Railways has decided to run some special trains as fully reserved trains to benefit the passengers. These trains include train no. 09035, 09117/09118, 09501/09502, 09193/09194, 09133/09134, 09135/09136, 09429/09430. Travellers have been asked to follow all the state guidelines and COVID appropriate behaviour.

Apart from these extensions, the timings of Sealdah-Agartala and Sealdah-Silchar special trains have revised arrival & departure timings at New Cooch Behar and Kamakhya stations.
