On Saturday- 15th April, 8 coaches of the Rajya Rani Express were derailed near Rampur at around 8:15 am. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced a compensation of INR 50,000 for severely injured and INR 25,000 for injured.
An FIR was lodged by The Government Railway Police (GRP) on Sunday against railway officials for negligence of duty. Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu ordered an inquiry about the derailment and stated that strict actions will be taken against those found guilty.
