Akash Inn

This is the top hotel in Shimoga, especially due to the service of Mr. R. S Bhandari, who is very humble, specialized, and highly professional. Mr. Sardar is also commendable.

For the past three years, I've regularly stayed at this hotel every month during my business trips. Although I've checked out other hotels in Shivamogga, Akash Inn stands out for its better comfort. Its excellent location provides convenient access to chats and various food choices just 100 meters away 🍔🍜. The staff are very warm and have become like good friends. It's genuinely a hospitable spot! 😊🏨

Having stayed at this hotel before, I naturally booked it again this time, opting for the expensive Executive Suite... Big mistake! First, when paying over 4200 per night, you expect firm and comfortable beds, but that was not the case. We woke up with sore backs every morning. Second, a basic expectation is a hot shower, but we only got lukewarm water. Despite repeated complaints over two days, a staff member came, ran the shower for 5 minutes, and left, telling us to wait 20 minutes, but nothing improved. Third, the WiFi was practically nonexistent, probably only working near the reception on the ground floor; it never worked on the fourth floor where we stayed. Fourth, the power outlets were so sensitive that plugging in devices like hair dryers or chargers caused them to fall out. You need a lot of patience and skill to keep plugs in place. After this disappointing experience, I didn't even try the famous breakfast buffet. Never again. Save your time and money and choose other hotels that provide better service at this price.
