Ammu Cottage

I reserved this cottage for two nights and arrived around 11:00 PM, only to find the power socket near the bed wasn't working. I tried reaching the reception, but no one was there and the phone numbers listed didn't work. I was soaked and waited over 15 minutes without any help. Eventually, I found a working number and the receptionist moved me to another room. He appeared drunk, was unsteady, and even asked if I wanted to join him, which made me very uneasy as I was traveling alone. The new room lacked a lock, leaving me worried about the safety of my belongings when I went out. The bathroom bucket was leaking, with a plastic piece placed underneath to prevent water from spreading. The next day, paint from the room stained my jacket and I couldn't get it out. Overall, my experience here was very unpleasant as a solo traveler.

He was drunk, could not stand properly, and even asked if I wanted to join him. As a solo traveller, this made me feel very uncomfortable.The new room did not have a lock. How could I keep my belongings safe and go outside? The bucket in the bathroom was leaking, and they had kept a piece of plastic under it to stop the water from spreading.The next day, paint from the room stained my jacket, and I could not remove it. Overall, I had a very bad experience staying here as a solo traveller.

A terrible stay! The rooms at Ammu Cottage are dirty and have an unpleasant odor. They use old bedsheets repeatedly. There is no room service, and the staff are rude. The doors have no keys, which is unsafe. I recommend avoiding this cottage.

The rooms are very nice and comfortable, and the service is excellent.

Decent experience, good value for the price.
