Asiatic Lion Lodge

An incredible escape into the wild’!This resort perfectly captures the spirit of Sasan Gir. The property is lush and well-maintained, making us feel like we’re right in the heart of the jungle. We loved the outdoor seating areas. A must-visit for anyone looking for peace and nature.What stood out most was the warm Gujarati hospitality. The food was absolutely delicious’especially the Methi Gota they served for breakfast. After a long, dusty safari, coming back to such a clean, comfortable room and a refreshing pool was heaven. Every staff member went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable.

The location is good and easily accessible; however, the lodge is about a 30-minute drive from the safari point. We booked two rooms for one night at ’12,000 (paid fully in advance), including breakfast. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and breakfast was fairly decent.That said, several issues impacted our stay. Although the lodge claims a no-plastic water bottle policy, we were charged when we specifically requested mineral water. The shower gel bottle in the washroom was empty, which I discovered only while showering. More seriously, the key of Room No. 116 opened Room No. 117 (both ours), raising concerns about room security. The telephone in Room No. 116 was not working.The swimming pool was dirty and unusable. There were no entertainment or leisure activities organised for guests. The restaurant had a foul odor. Indian food was average, but the Chinese food was very poor ’ hard and chewy paneer in chilli paneer, overcooked noodles, and tasteless fried rice. Food prices were high considering the quality.Overall, while the rooms, location, and breakfast were positives, the lodge needs significant improvement in maintenance, food quality, hygiene, and service standards to justify its pricing.

Absolutely loved our stay! We had an absolutely fantastic stay at asiatic lion lodge, From the moment we arrived, the friendly reception staff made us feel so welcome.The entire property is beautifully maintained with lush greenery and amazing facilities.The food was exceptional; the chef truly catered to our tastes, and the restaurant offered a wonderful dining experience.What truly stood out was the staff's dedication ’ always on their toes, offering warm smiles, and going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. It felt like a home away from home.

The Asiatic Lion Lodge is a great location, not too close to the touristy area and close enough to the Safari entrance. It is set back from the road and gives an opportunity to be close to nature and all the forest area sounds.The food served at restaurant was tasty, and the Lodge staff willing to serve and please. The accommodation is comfortable, clean rooms. Overall, we were very happy with the experience and the room tarriff was well priced. There are other activities including bird watching.

A Good memorable stay in the midst of the jungle. Plenty of birds in the property as they have planted fruit trees.
