Azaya Beach Resort

I was here in February for a 3 days stay. Rooms are made nicely but lack maintenance. The staff is warm and welcoming but either they are understaffed or seriously lack responsibility of their job. I was in a suite with private pool but the pool floor was broken with tiles coming out it which could hurt you if you are not careful. The water in the pool was stale and the pool was full of dried leaves and petals. If you offer those amenities you need to maintain it as well. During my stay the pool wasn’t cleaned even once.The service be it room service or at the pool or bar is very slow. Now people call it the Goan way of life easy and chill but we are at a resort which has to follow some standards of hospitality.Location is top notch, peaceful with no rush at the beach also.The complimentary breakfast in morning had a very simple menu and there also the staff was short to even clear the table or putting up the order.

We stayed at Azaya Beach Resort for two nights and had a wonderful experience. The resort offers private beach access, which was a major highlight. The food was good, and the lush green surroundings make it perfect for relaxing walks or sitting under the trees. The sunset at their private beach is a must-see ’ truly beautiful.Although there was a minor service issue initially, it was resolved promptly. The staff were polite and courteous throughout our stay. Overall, it is a stunning property, and I would highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to South Goa. You won’t regret it.

Extremely Disappointing Stay ’ Completely Run Down PropertyIt was really sad to see such a potentially beautiful property in such a neglected condition.We had booked 2 Deluxe Patio Rooms and 1 Premier Balcony Sit-Out Room. At check-in, the Deluxe Patio rooms were in terrible condition ’ broken taps, dirty glass panels, and overall poor maintenance. The rooms felt unclean and completely unacceptable.When we requested a room change, we were informed that all Deluxe Patio rooms were in a similar run-down state. That itself says a lot about the upkeep of the property.We eventually shifted to the Premier Balcony room, which was definitely better than the Deluxe category. However, the real shock came the next morning ’ there was no water in the bathroom. When we called reception, the only response we received was that ’work was going on.’Basic facilities like running water are non-negotiable in any hotel. Being informed about maintenance only after facing the issue is extremely unprofessional and inconvenient.Overall, this stay was a complete disaster. I would not recommend this property to anyone until serious improvements are made.

We went on a short trip and had a pleasant stay at the resort. Although we had read several negative reviews beforehand, our experience didn’t reflect the issues mentioned. Overall, the resort was comfortable and well-maintained, with the added advantage of being right on the beach.That said, considering it’s positioned as a 5-star property, there’s room for improvement’especially in expanding the breakfast buffet options, introducing couple spa services, and offering late-night food and beverage availability. Apart from these areas, the resort delivered a satisfactory experience.

DO NOT STAY HERE. The 5-star reviews are misleading, and the service is awful. Read the 1-star reviews for the true experience. While the rooms looked acceptable at first glance, they had mold and bugs throughout with bad odors. The shower and sink water frequently ran brown, which was extremely concerning. The service was absolutely horrendous’getting anyone to help you felt like pulling teeth. The outlets and air conditioning in the room worked intermittently, and the entire resort felt empty and neglected. The pool was dirty, and overall maintenance was clearly lacking. Even the spa was disappointing, with no ambiance, music, or scent whatsoever. There were no events or staff that interacted with guests and the bars were rarely staffed. The food itself was okay - no major complaints.Right Nextdoor is Taj which was beautiful, clean, and mesmerizing.For the price and experience, spend your money elsewhere.
