Unfortunately, one person can ruin the entire experience.Azaya is a good property with wonderful beach access & restaurant. There are a lot of scope to improvement and can be managed in a better way. Breakfast was good. The restaurant staff, especially Vaibhavi and Raj, were extremely supportive, attentive during our stay.We stayed in the Executive Room with balcony, which was good overall, though the balcony and bathtub could be better maintained.The second day evening, we were told that only eight 500 ml water bottles would be provided and additional bottles would be chargeable. This was neither in the T&Cs nor mentioned at check-in, and felt like an on the spot rule by the front office staff. This disappointing experience around a basic amenity even made us skip dinner at their beach restaurant that day.Unfortunately, this affected what could otherwise have been a good stay.
Among all the major brands I've visited over the years in India and Bali, this place offers the best food. Whether it's Indian or Italian cuisine, this was the top choice. The signature soup, especially the cashew-corn one, comes highly recommended. The hospitality is excellent, and the staff are very welcoming.

Solo Traveller • Sep 2026I first visited Azaya Beach Resort in 2023 and really enjoyed my stay, rating it 4.5/5 stars. Returning with high expectations, I stayed for 4 nights and 5 days, booking 4 rooms with meals included. This time, I would rate it slightly lower at 4/5 stars. Some things have changed since my last visit, and not all for the better. The check-in was disappointing as we were asked to pay in full upon arrival despite having already paid ₹1 lakh for four rooms. The toiletries felt basic and local, which was unexpected for a resort like Azaya. The gym could use an upgrade, and a proper kids’ play area would be a valuable addition for families. Hospitality remains a strong point, with very helpful staff. We stayed in two regular rooms upstairs and two plunge-pool rooms downstairs. All rooms were clean, spacious for their category, with good views and comfortable towels. The plunge-pool rooms were a highlight, offering private pools that the kids loved. Beach access is excellent, with a clean, well-maintained beach and easy access. Water sports are available via Pele Water Sports but are pricey, so bargaining is recommended for groups. Nearby beach restaurants include Blue Wave, which I wouldn’t recommend due to poor food quality, and Seagull, which was better with decent food and attentive service. Hukka is also available on the beach through the resort. The resort restaurant is clean and comfortable but offers limited variety, with lunch and dinner menus being quite similar daily, which lowered my rating. There is a sitting area above the restaurant for drinks, which worked well for our group. Prana Spa was excellent, with professional therapists and a good range of treatments; I enjoyed the aroma massage. Overall, the resort excels in rooms, beach access, hospitality, plunge-pool rooms, and spa, but improvements are needed in check-in/payment, toiletries, gym, kids’ play area, and food variety.
