The perfect spot to escape the usual routine. The staff and owner were very kind. Kayaking and boat rides are available. Really enjoyed it.

If you're traveling to India, particularly the South, this homestay is an unforgettable and worthwhile choice. Stepping out of the room in the late afternoon to find chilled guava juice ready for you, or warm fried bananas with tea or coffee waiting, shows wonderful hospitality. I even ended up inviting some local friends for a small dinner party here, and the uncle kindly allowed us to do so. While public transport to the town can be a bit complicated, it's very easy to get a three-wheeler by asking the host uncle. I doubt you'll find a better backwater homestay anywhere in Kerala.

During our honeymoon, we stayed at Backwater Heritage Homestay and had an amazing experience throughout. The place is a serene, green retreat full of tranquility. The hosts are very kind and hospitable. The food and service were excellent. I would strongly suggest this homestay to anyone seeking a friendly and genuine experience.

5 stars 🌟 if you want true peace and quiet. The place is located outside the town, surrounded by peaceful, leafy streets. Usually, the only sounds in their well-maintained garden are birds and cicadas. The home-cooked meals cost 500Rs each, are generous, diverse, and freshly made by the lady who always asks your preferences and seems to have everything. Many of the fruits she serves come from the abundant trees in the garden. They can arrange activities for you, but we preferred to relax on the property, which offers a more authentic atmosphere than commercial Alleppey.
