Had a wonderful time overall, the food was fantastic. I recommend booking the Maharaja suites since other options lack AC and the non-AC rooms can seem a bit old-fashioned. Apart from that, everything was flawless—daily plans, activities, and meals were all excellent.

Honest opinion! This is one of the worst government tourism jungle resorts I've encountered. The room service is lacking, with inadequate lighting inside and no provision of toothbrush or toothpaste. There's no Wi-Fi, even in the premium Maharaja cottage. No buggy service for elderly guests, and the food court is quite far, requiring a long walk on poorly lit and uneven paths. You have to carry your trolley luggage because the paths are badly paved. Surprisingly, there is no intercom facility for communication, and mobile network coverage is poor unless you have luck with Airtel, BSNL, or Jio, so you might need to walk to the reception. The location is disappointing, about 6 km from the main forest, so you won't see any wildlife nearby, which is a downside if you want to enjoy nature. The staff could be more courteous and don't actively offer wake-up calls. Room cleaning did not happen during my two-day stay. The food is average and could be improved in taste. Safari experiences depend on luck. The best jungle resort, in my opinion, is Bhadra Wild River Turn Jungle Resort.

I am a big fan of JLR Bandipur. The parking is safe and roomy, the food is good, and the hospitality is excellent. The staff are very helpful, especially with arranging safaris. The property is located just 2 minutes from the safari booking counter, making everything very convenient. The rooms are simple but clean, comfortable, and well kept. The grounds are spacious, quiet, and ideal for a wildlife retreat. I've stayed here many times and always had a great experience. It is my preferred choice whenever I visit Bandipur. I highly recommend it for wildlife lovers and families visiting the area.
