Cola Goa Beach Resort

I got this for approx 7.5k per night (Beachfront cottage with Jacuzzi).Staff and Cleanliness - I would say maintaining this property due to the extremely salty air makes it hard for the staff. But if you call someone, one of the staff quickly comes within 1-2minutes to your room and cleans whatever you say (including the Jacuzzi) as many times as you want.Also, staff maintains extreme level of privacy for your room. They wont even enter the balcony of the room near Jacuzzi without your permission.Location - Location is extremely good very good for privacy, it beach can be considered as private as no one except the hotel people can access the beach area, its covered by hills from both sides. Travelling - I would suggest that if you are a new driver, do not drive the car yourself to the property as the last 1.5kms are completely off-road which could be a challenge for new drivers especially while going up-hill, (as per my knowledge scooters are anyways not allowed off-road by rental companies).

The best place for calm and quiet... sukun

Firstly, the path leading to the property is in terrible condition and severely damaged, making our return at 8pm a nightmare due to darkness and lack of lighting, with a ditch on one side making the 15-minute walk very unsafe. There was no alternative route, and we were not warned about this beforehand. Secondly, the rooms were poorly maintained, and at one point, flooding occurred because of inadequate drainage. Thirdly, the prices for food, drinks, and other items ordered from outside were extremely high, almost twice the usual market rates. The same goes for the Activa/bike rental fees, which were also unreasonably expensive. Fourthly, since there were no nearby cab or rickshaw services, we had to rely on the manager’s contacts, which led to exorbitant charges of about ₹1,200 for just a 15-minute ride. Fifthly, there was almost no mobile network coverage at the property, so we depended entirely on Wi-Fi, and even making simple phone calls was difficult. These points summarize the troubles we encountered during our stay. While the property might have a nice view, it comes with many inconveniences. Although a discount might be offered on the room rate, nearly four times that amount is recovered through overpriced room service and other fees, and when we mentioned this to the manager, the response was, “yaha rate aise hi lagate he.”

My recent visit to Cola Goa Beach Resort provided the perfect oceanfront retreat I was seeking. Waking up to direct beach access every day was a real treat. The room was large and tidy, offering a stunning ocean view. The staff were exceptionally attentive, making sure we felt at ease throughout our stay. The food was tasty, and the beach service added to a hassle-free holiday. I strongly suggest this place for couples and families wanting a peaceful getaway.
