I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is great and very convenient, and the hotel is clean, comfortable, and well maintained. All the staff were very friendly, kind, and helpful throughout my stay. I really enjoyed my time here and would definitely recommend this hotel to others. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!
I had toil for 1 hour for a water bottle
I stayed at Emerald Hotel for over five days, and my experience was somewhat mixed. The main issue was the room size, which was only about 100 sq ft, and I don't think it justified the ₹2,500 per night I paid. For a similar price, I would suggest Royal Lalawi Hotel, where rooms are nearly twice as large and the property is newer. The reception service also left much to be desired. One receptionist was quite rude and kept saying he didn’t understand English or Hindi, which was frustrating as a traveler. Communication at reception should be easier, especially in a hotel serving travelers, and staff should have basic language skills and a friendlier attitude. Overall, some staff seemed indifferent and lacked warmth, so better hospitality training would help. However, Mr. Thangchhingpuia at reception was a positive exception, showing good interpersonal skills and a sensible approach. On the plus side, service was very prompt, with requests usually fulfilled within minutes. What disappointed me most was the check-out process. After staying over five days, I asked for a 30-minute late check-out but was denied because the room was booked for the next guest. I understand the need to manage bookings, but after such a long stay, I expected more flexibility or a more helpful response. In the end, I chose to move to another hotel as I was unhappy with both the room and the overall helpfulness. In summary, while the service was prompt, the very small rooms, uneven reception experience, and lack of flexibility make it hard for me to recommend Emerald at ₹2,500 per night. There are newer, more spacious options in Aizawl at similar prices.
